Mission & method
Understand more.
Prepare thoughtfully.
Preparedness decisions deserve the same care as any other engineering decision.
What we are building
Ragnarok Ready is an early-stage publication about the technologies, materials, and systems that support practical household resilience. The aim is to make technical questions understandable without stripping away the details that change the answer.
The publication comes first. A free, open-source offline knowledge repository is a longer-term plan, with scope and release timing still undecided.
Our editorial approach
- Explain the mechanism. Show how a system works and which assumptions matter.
- Make the evidence inspectable. Link sources, distinguish measurements from estimates, and name uncertainties.
- Describe the boundaries. Explain failure modes, maintenance needs, and where a recommendation stops applying.
- Make testing reproducible. When we conduct tests, document equipment, conditions, methods, and limitations.
- Keep review visible. Show authorship, publication dates, review dates, and meaningful corrections.
AI assistance, human responsibility
AI may assist with research organization and drafting. A human editor must check sources, technical claims, rights, and context before publication. AI output is not evidence, and a citation must support the claim attached to it.
Commercial independence
The starter has no advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, or products for sale. Future revenue models remain undecided. If commercial relationships are introduced, they should be disclosed where they affect a reader's decision.
Where things stand
This is the website foundation. The article format is demonstrated with one clearly labeled sample. No equipment testing, reference collection, or downloadable software release is being claimed.
